Hi ,

Thanks for the reply.but again i have a little bit problem.
Code:
for i in Gbegamey_A,LC2
do
grep "$i" data.txt > "$i"sort
awk '{sum1+=$17; sum2+=$18} END { printf("%s %d %d %d\n", $i, sum1, sum2, }' "$i"sort
done

i am trying to print the name ( $i ) infrount of the values , but it is not printing.

ex- Gbegamey_A 234 534
like this.

but it is not putting the name.
234 534 like this.

i need your help to solve this problem.

and secondly how to print the percentage between column and column2

ex . Gbegamey_A 234 534 (234/534)*100

i mean i need this result to ( 234/534)*100=43 to put it to 3 rd column.

ex-
Gbegamey_A 234 534 43

Thanks,
Nayanajith.
