CSH While Loop

Hi all,

How can I make this work with CSH:

Code:
set K=3
set I=1
while ($I != $K)
echo "K="$I @ I = $K + 1
end

Any help you can provide or links that can help is greatly appreciated.

With above I get an error
"while: Expression Syntax"

The while-loop syntax seems fine and the code works with just a minor modification.

Code:
#!/bin/csh

set K=3
set I=1
while ($I != $K)
  echo "K="$I
  @ I = $I + 1
end

Thanks Scott!

What does the "#!/bin/csh" exactly do? It looks like it calls the csh...

And would it be the same thing with bash "#!/bin/bash"?

That is a shebang or hashbang.

This particular line starting with #! specifies the interpreter program to run your script.
