use gnu date

Hi,

You may have to download coreutils ( has the gnu version of date) and compile it in say "/usr/local/coreutils"

I have a HP-UX production server

Code:
HP-UX #### B.11.31 U ia64 2705544729 unlimited-user license

With coreutils the command I gave works

Code:
###root-:/usr/local/coreutils/bin#>/usr/local/coreutils/bin/date -d "2 days ago" +%d-%b-%Y
30-Mar-2013
###-root-:/usr/local/coreutils/bin#>
