Reading column header
Hi,

I have some 10 tab delimited flat files, for some files the column header starts from 1st row whereas for some other files the column header starts from row or row 3 or row4 and so on....

Is there any way in UNIX so that we can read the column headers dynamically.'

I am new to UNIX, so please help.

Could you please provide sample input of your files.

if your headers are always with constant text in them,

The column headers keeps changing from file to file.

So you have changing headers in changing lines - what would they have in common enabling us to identify them? What would be in lines 1 - n-1 if the header is in line n?

It would probably help if you send first few lines of several files, to show how the column headers change from file to file.

If column header is always the first line, use one of the below methods:
