Date conversion from 24 hr format to 12 hr format

hi i want to convert date procured from sone operation which will be in 24hr format to 12 hr format displaying AM and PM

[root@dun ~]# date -d @1362545068
Tue Mar  5 23:44:28 EST 2013
[root@ ~]#

this

Tue Mar  5 23:44:28 EST 2013

i want to convert it so that output is as below

Code:
Tue Mar  5 23:44:28 EST 2013
03-05-2013 11.44 PM

any help is deeply appreciated. thanks

i just did some trial and error.. got it with below command

[root@ ~]# date "+%m-%d-%Y %r" --date='Tue Mar  5 23:40:10 EST 2013'
03-05-2013 11:40:10 PM
[root@ ~]#
