I am trying to work on a script where it is a *(star) delimited file has a multiple lines starts with RTG and 3rd column=TD8 I want to substring the date part and
I want to replace with currentdate minus 15 days. Here is an example. iam using AIX server
$ cat temp.txt

I have to schedule one job in crontab, but with two parameters.
1. Sysdate in YYYYMMDD format
2. Sysdate - 7 in YYYYMMDD format
Please suggest how to do that.

can someone please suggest a script to rename a file that was generated today and filename that being generated daily starts with date, its a xml file.
here is example.
# find . -type f -mtime -1
