Write the lines in one single line
Hi,

I need some iteration to do the following work.

Sample:

ANS|26-Jan-2012|26|MON|12536.1
ANS|26-Jan-2012|26|TUE|2536.1

SED|26-Jan-2013|32|MON|258.1

OUTPUT:

Simple approach.

awk -F\| '{printf "%s|", $0;getline;printf "%s|", $5;getline;print $5}' infile
