Concatenating Strings

Is there any function to concatenate strings in shell script

You can concatenate strings as such also.

Look at this.

Code:
#! /bin/ksh
# radhika.ksh
STR1=str1
STR2="str2 str"

STR=$STR1" "$STR2
echo $STR

Code:
$ ./radhika.ksh  
str1 str2 str

vino
# 3
