Need script to delete old files
Hi,

I need a script to delete files older than 2 years or a year.
I have around hundreds of old files which needs to be deleted.

Could you please help.

find .  -type f -mtime +365 | xargs rm

There may be a better solution though, wait for others to post

Try something like this

Code:
find /path/to/files* -mtime +730 -exec rm  {} \;

But be careful in searching the correct path.A small mistake could cause you serious problems. I guess you should try to
Code:
-exec ls -lrt

first. If it works fine then try the remove command.
