[SOLVED] Insert @Line # - SED (non-GNU)

Just posted on another fellow's question using ed, but I wanted to know about doing it with sed on Unix. For example - I have a file of an unknown length, but I want to add a line after the shell declaration (Line 2). If possible, I'd like the example to be able to just substitute in a number and work on any line (IE, it works on line 2 or on line 55). The following line in awk will give me the result I'm looking for, but how do I do it with non-GNU SED?
Code:
awk 'NR==2{system("echo ThisGoesOnLine2")}1' test.file

Thanks!

Code:
sed '2s/\(.*\)/ThisGoesOnLine2\
\1/' test.file

Or

Code:
sed '2i\
ThisGoesOnLine2' test.file

Or

Code:
sed '1a\
ThisGoesOnLine2' test.file
