How to skip copying some types of files in csh
Hi,
I want to copy data from one directory to another in csh script. But in that i want to skip certain types of file. How can i do that.

Currently i am copying all the files as mentioned below..

Code:
foreach d ( $TEST_PATH/*)
                cp -R $d $PWD
  end

now i want to skip files with extension say file1.abc in this code.

for d in `ls $TEST_PATH | grep -v "\.abc"`
do
    cp -R $d $PWD
done

That was for bash.

Here is csh

Code:
foreach d ( `ls $TEST_PATH | grep -v "\.abc"`)
                cp -R $d $PWD
  end

@Arun: Do you think grep considers * ??

I would advise to use this
Code:
 ls $TEST_PATH | grep -v "\.abc"

This should work good Smilie
