how to count how many subdirectory containing more than a certain number of specific file type

hi I want to write a script which count the number of subdirectories in the current root directory that contain more than a specified number of files of a specific type. Is there an easy way to do this?

Can you provide a sample of the input and output...

for example

current directory contains 10 subfolders: subfolder1, subfolder2.....10

each subfolder contain a number of files of type .jpg, including other non jpg files.

now I want to write a script which counts the number of subfolder in the current directory that contains more than say, 20 jpg files.
