how to list all commands history for a username during a certain time ?

Typically when you type history from command line, it displays the command# and the command. For auditing purpose, it may be beneficial to display the timepstamp along with the command as shown below.

Code:
# export HISTTIMEFORMAT='%F %T '
# history | more
1  2008-08-05 19:02:39 service network restart
2  2008-08-05 19:02:39 exit
3  2008-08-05 19:02:39 id
4  2008-08-05 19:02:39 cat /etc/redhat-release

from this u can filter the time with grep

@prabampm, Love the history timestamp feature, going to use that for my own history files from now on!

Contents of the user’s history files may be of some use but this is far from a definitive source, history being a convenience feature of the shell rather that an auditing tool.

Unfortunately most *NIX implementations don't audit user commands by default and need to be configured/setup, so if you looking at a past event the info may not be available. What OS+version are you on, as each vendors implementation in this area is unique.
