help with ksh
I have a variable "config_line" which has a string separated by spaces

and i am using
Code:
set -a arrParams=`echo "$config_line"  |sed 's/ / /g'`

in my ksh script.

The array is not getting populated.

i did a similar thing in bash like below:

declare-a arrParams=(`echo "$config_line"  |sed 's/ / /g'`)

and it worked

Can anyone help please?

What's the content of "$config_line"?

I don't have much working knowledge on ksh. But from whatever I know, isn't array declared this way in ksh:

Code:
set -A array_name value1 value2 ... valuen

So, shouldn't it be:

set -A arrParams `echo .............. `

Also, as per radoulov's question, it may also depend on the contents of $config_line.
