for i in `cat ips`
do
scp file root@$i:/

echo "copied files suffcssfully to "$i

My task is i don't want to enter password it should take it one by one to the corresponding ips from a file, if we store all passwords in a file.

Actually i do it manually but every time i entered password this is some what time consuming ,Can anybody help me..

Thanks
Jagan.

Google "passwordless ssh".

Putting a password in a file is a serious security blunder.

Putting all passwords in a file is faintly hilarious.

There are much, much better ways to do it if you'll just give them a try.
