How to use case syntax
Hi All,I need to modify an existing script wherein "case" statement is used..An arguement is passed to a script "/home/jogesh/script.ksh johny" In the script before the case statement is used we have cut command (cut -c1-2) is used wherein "jo" part of the johny is cut and according to that further actions are done...now i need to give a a new arguement to script "joseph" but since cut -c1-2 is used it will cut the same characters "jo" which will create confusion....How i can use both the arguements "johny" and "joseph" in the same script..Can anyone please help me in this...

Could you please post what input you have and what output you expect as well as the code of your current script ?

Hi I want to make string substitution ignoring case for search but respecting case for subtitute.
