how to write bash

How do I creat a .sh file that does the following:


1. Delete all backup and auto-save files that Emacs creates.
2. Delete files whose names are of the form f.o provided one of the corresponding f.cpp, f.c, or f.C file exists.
3. Rename files whose names are of the form f.text.txt to f.txt.
4. Rename files whose names are of the form f.mpeg.mpg or f.mpg.mpeg to
f.mpg.

Pls show what you've got so far and where you need help.

mv $file text/unix-$file
done



but this will add "text" to a file
how do i make a file go from f.text.txt to f.txt
