How to find last updated date and time of a folder in Perl?
Hi All,

I have a process which after some time continues move a files to some folder(say the name of the folder is logdir)
What i am trying to do is as the files are coming to the logdir folder, I want the latest updated time and date
of the folder in PERL.

Hi,

You have to use stat function to get the last modifed time for files or folders.

Code:
my $epoch_timestamp = (stat("logdir"))[9];
@date=localtime($epoch_timestamp);
$date[5] +=1900;
$date[4] +=1;
print "$date[5]-$date[4]-$date[3] $date[2]-$date[1]:$date[0]\n";

Just google it. will give you clear idea about the stat.
