Question Archiving older files

Hello Group,

I would request your help to build a shell script in order to find files older than 90 days then create the same directory structure under the second disk (/archive directory) and move the file preserving the same timestamps (ownership, etc).

Also keep the log of files moved with the size of each file.

Code:
find . -mtime +90 -type f -print > list.txt

I attached the file list.txt

How I can create a script using the list.txt move each file and create the corresponding directory if it does not exist in the /archive/

Thanks in advance

Carlos

How about this ?
Code:
 #!/bin/sh
find . -mtime +90 -type f -print > list.txt
tar -cvf ArchiveFiles.tar `cat list.txt`
if [ $? -eq 0 ];then
mv ArchiveFiles.tar /archive && cd /archive && tar -xvf ArchiveFiles.tar && cd - && echo "rm " `cat list.txt`
fi

1) create a list 2) create tar file 3) move tar file to archive dir 4)untar 5)remove files from original location

Hello Pravin27,

Thanks a lot your for response. If in the future I found other files in the same directories can I use the same script without concert to delete or modify the existent files in the archive/ directory ?
I only want to add more files to the archive directory to comply with the find condition.

Regards,

Carlos
