New to scripting
I am new to shell scripting and i need to do

echo are there any users on the system and wait for user input NO , then continue wit rest of the script backig up the file system. I'm fine with backup part, but need help with initial echo to user input. Pls help

I mean to say If NO then continue, if yes then break. Help

And the posted 'hint' does not do that?

I believe you have the skeleton of the solution - you can adjust the rest as you wish.

in unix bc command is used as calculator and also for conversion, i want to convert 5f to decimal. but bc dont consider 5f as hex value it considers 5F as hex value.
