Need help with Awk command
Hi Guys,

I have a parameter file as below.

Code:
BatchTrkId=282
BusinessUnit=GMUS
Country=UNITED STATES

I need the output as -param BatchTrkId=282 -param BusinessUnit=GMUS -param Country=UNITED STATES

I am using the following code.

Code:
awk '{printf("-param %s ", $1)}' <filename>

It is all working fine unless there is no space.

Code:
test> cat tes.param
BatchTrkId=282
BusinessUnit=GMUS
Country=UNITED STATES
test> awk '{printf("-param %s ", $1)}' tes.param
-param BatchTrkId=282 -param BusinessUnit=GMUS -param Country=UNITED 
test>

Can somebody help me out here..

$ awk '{print "-param "$0|"xargs"}' infile
-param BatchTrkId=282 -param BusinessUnit=GMUS -param Country=UNITED STATES

# 3

instead of $1 use $0

Code:
awk '{printf("-param %s ", $0)}' <filename>
