MySQL on manual script need to add logfile
hi all,

1.I am new to linux shell scripting.
2.i had an rman.sh script which will take backup all database using CATALOG DATABASE.
3.While executing that script my catalog DB gets shutdown.
4.The rman.sh script are executed manually.
5.so i need log for rman.sh .And also it is very useful explore where the problem is.
6.kindly provide steps to get log from manual script.

Hi,

have you tried to look for errors on the alert log of the catalog database first?

Anyway, in order to enable logging of rman, you may specify the 'log' clause, i.e.:

Code:
rman target <user>/<passwd>@<targetdb> catalog <user>/<passwd>@<catalogdb> cmdfile </path/to/rmanscript> log </path/to/rmanlog>
