For these 2 days I was working on some other requirements related to this one, so couldn't reply....
All scripts are working fine, but I want the output in some other format, please find below:

Current output from the perl and awk scripts:
1 What is your favourite colour? (i.e. 1 <tab>What is<tab>your<tab> favourite colour?)
2 In which month did you join your first job? (i.e. 2 <tab>In which month <tab>did you join <tab>your first job?)

I want to remove those tab and serial number and the question should be separated by a delimiter (say |), the output should look like:
1|What is your favourite colour?
2|In which month did you join your first job?

Could you please help?
I tried sed 's/\t/|/' but it didn't work.

There are not tabs in this
