I knew about ast-ksh and have downloaded for my Fedora box. As I indicated, installing ksh93 won't be permitted due to the tight configuration control and varied locations where the servers that I use are; each with their own management policies. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

I know we have basicly answered Thomas' question. But since this is our only thread with dtksh in the title, I thought that I would add a link to a dtksh tutorial...
