How to embed commands in awk search

Hello;

When I try:

Code:
awk '/$(date "+%y\/%m\/%d")/,0'

It errors with:

awk: There is a regular expression error.
Invalid pattern.

Is there anyway to make this work ??

Thank you

Code:
awk "/$(date '+%y\/%m\/%d')/,0"

' ' prevents the shell from interpreting the date command
