Help with zipping files in multiple directories
I'm trying to zip multiple files from within certain directories which are named out.

find . -name "*_out -print | xargs zip *

I get this error :
A file or directory in the path name does not exist
how do I get this to work from within my KSH script?

A double quote has started after -name but doesn't end anywhere.

Moreover, have you tried using

zip <path>/<zipped_file_name> <path>/*_out

Try this with gzip...
Code:
find . -name "*_out" -exec gzip '{} \;

Or this if you want to use zip utility
Code:
find -name "*_out" -exec zip -r '{}'.zip '{}' \;
