Hi,

I am having one log files. contains som data according to date. And it is going to append .Eg:abc.log contains below data

Code:

2011-10-19 abjhgj
2011-10-19  gjhgjgj
2011-10-20 hhhjh
2011-10-20 hhhhjj
2011-10-21 gg
.
.
.
2011-11-24 yyy

from log files i want catch only todays date line and want to copy in to another file

eg:

grep '2011-11-24' abc.log >2011-11-24.log

hope u have understand this much :-)


now above code i am going to envolve in shellscript.so instead of daily doing this i want it

grep 'yyyy-mm-dd' abc.log >yyyy-mm-dd.log
 
(note-here date should be only todays date )

plz help me to do so
