Question problem with "p" command

Dear All,

I have a problem with the usage of p command in script. Below is my script.
Code:
###### VARIABLE DECLARATION ########
hr=`date +%H":"`

##To Check Process Restart ##
p | awk '{print $5"|"$8}' | grep $hr >/enip/enipapp/dcc/Naga_Alert/proc_check.tmp
proc=`wc -c /enip/enipapp/dcc/Naga_Alert/proc_check.tmp | awk '{print $1}' | tr -d '\r'`
if [ $proc > 7 ]
then
        for procs in `cat /enip/enipapp/dcc/Naga_Alert/proc_check.tmp | tr -d '\r'`
        do
                echo "$procs" | awk -F'|' '{print $2" got restarted at $1."}' >>/enip/enipapp/dcc/Naga_Alert/proc_check.txt
        done
fi

Output is coming as ./dccproxyalert.sh: line 13: p: command not found

but the same works fine outside the script.
Pls help.Smilie

What does which p return (outside the script)?

p: aliased to procs.sh is the output of which p

May I know what is aliasing?

An alias lets you specify alternate names for commands, that you can use in an interactive shell - when you run p the shell is actually running procs.sh.

The script doesn't about the alias, though, so it gives you an error.

So should I add #!/procs.sh at the beginning of the script??

No. Call procs.sh instead of p (procs.sh | awk '{print $5"|".. etc...)

Excuse me for my Ignorance!!! Then why p in working outside?
