In the below I am trying to use awk to match all the $13 values in input, which is tab-delimited,
that are in $1 of gene which is just a single column of text.
However only the line with the greatest $9 value in input needs to be printed.

I am trying to allow a user to enter in text and then store that text in a variable $gene to run in an awk command in which those values are used to run some calculations. I am getting syntax errors however, when I try. Thank you :).

I have notice that when I create a sudoer file in the sudoer.d directory, then if I have a syntax error, I cannot do sudo at all, in all accounts.
Why can't they change the mechanism, so it will ignore syntax error line and will only display error message but won't cause total failure and... (7 Replies)

I want to print last column of 3 input files with awk.
cat file1.txt file2.txt file3.txt

2 ss 300
file2.txt

My o/p should be :-
