Script of invoke an email program
Is it possible that a shell script invokes a windows mailing application like Lotus Notes and creates a mail and sends it ?

I'll ask you a question, can you automate the process of sending an email using Louts Notes by providing the input in either a data file, or as command line variables?

As jgt says automation should be fine if Lotus Notes supports command line control or data file automation. Something like cygwin will allow you to run bash/ksh scripts in the windows environment just fine.

If not, you could try something line MacroExpress. It has a pretty powerfull scripting language built into it, so you can loop, branch, read data files, prompt for user input, etc.
