Hi.

Those are not "backticks". They are single quotes. ` v. '

Code:
$ sed "s/'//g" file
data_1
data_10
data1311
235data_13

Try this:

Code:
tr -d "'"  <file

Hi Scottn,

Previously, I tried using sed but with single quote , it was not giving result. But with double quotes it is working.

Code:
sed 's/'//g' file

Single quotes prevent the shell from evaluating pretty much everything - including other single quotes.

In much the same way that it's easier (in some cases only possible) to replace / in a string by not using / as a delimiter, so the same is true of ' (easier not to use it). Not to say that you can't use it:
Code:
$ sed 's/'\''//g' file
data_1
data_10
data1311
235data_13
