Hi,
My requirement is that ,i need to generate data file consisting of very high number of transactions.
I need to take the header for the file containing pipe delimited columns from a different file(Header.txt containing headers for different formats).Please help me in this regard.
Also for some of the columns i need to update the fields which are predefined in another file.How do i do this.

I will be having header.txt file
For example

Unix :: Char|Process|count|Pid I 
Perl  :: String|Operator|Date

Another input text file

Code:

A|batch |56|456
pat |*|161085

if Unix is selected the output file will have the headers of Unix and the rows of data for each column are taken from the second input file.

Output file example

a|batch|56|456
a|run |58|512
c |java|84|478

how the mapping or relation is between the input and header file ?

i dont see any common terms from your example

Hi thanks for the reply.
I need to take the header from the header text file and place it in the output file.
Then the data for the header columns will be populated form the input data file.
This is the requirement .request you to guide me as how will i bring the headers from a different file to the output file.
