executing one script from other

Script test
Code:
#! /bin/csh -f
echo checking the sset command
if( -e /home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts ) then
 echo ts script present
 set cmd = "/home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts a 1 b 2 c 3"
else
 echo script not present
endif
echo $cmd
echo done

script ts
Code:
#!/bin/csh -f
set arg
set val
while ($#argv != 0 && $1 != 0)
set arg = $1
set val = $2
shift
shift
echo arg = $arg > /home/user/project/runtest/testdir/logfile
echo val = $val >>/home/user/project/runtest/testdir/logile
end

terminal log
Code:
ani@mesh: csh -x ./test
echo checking the sset command
checking the sset command
if ( -e /home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts ) then
echo ts script present
ts script present
set cmd = /home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts a 1 b 2 c 3
else
echo /home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts a 1 b 2 c 3
/home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts a 1 b 2 c 3
echo done
done

The script test is top level script. I am hoping to execute another script "ts" using "test".
The bold line in script "test" is what i am trying to interpret through this post.

As is evident in terminal log, both the script are executed without any error, however I am still not able to generate any logfile , as specified in script "ts".

Please advice:

* Does " set cmd "scriptpath arguments" " only declares a variable named cmd or it also executes the script.
* if it does,why am I not able to generate the logfile.

Try:
1. Remove the space in the first line:
Code:
#!/bin/csh -f

2. Change double quotes in set cmd to backticks:
Code:
set cmd = `/home/user/project/runtest/testdir/ts a 1 b 2 c 3`
