Date formatting in shell script
Hi,

I am writing a script and I need to calculate last weeks date.

I get the current date as;
today=`date '+%Y%m%d'`
and I need last week inthe same format.

if you are using linux you can try this.

Code:
today=`date '+%Y%m%d'`
lastweek=`date -date='1 week ago'  ''+%Y%m%d'`

If it is other OS you need to write simple script. Let me know which OS your are writting this script. I can help it.
