What does "# @(#)" mean in a bash script
Hello.

I'm learning how to embed perl scripts in bash scripts and I found an instruction (# @(#) sN) where N means , I think, any number. This instruction or command makes run a perl script embedded in a bash script wrapped by a <<EOF at beginning of the perl script and a EOF at the end.
So, my question is what does this instrucction or command mean? and how does it work?

I have never heard of this contruct running a command. But if you look at the what man page you see that the "what" commands scans for "@(#)" and uses this to locate a comment describing the software version of the script. The leading # is just to make it a comment.

Alias, function or script (bash) to "revert" cd command?

In all of my brief and superficial experience with Unix or Linux, the one curious and consistent thing has been that 'cd ./' (back up one directory level) has done absolutely nothing in any of them.
