MySQL oracle scripts
Env: AIX 5.3
I was doing shell scripting and for my Oracle DB.

Now there is a requirement to use Perl instead of Shell

Can anyone give the equivalent of this command in Perl

`Sqlplus -S /nolog <<EOF
conn / as sysdba
$sql1
$sql2
...
...
...
EOF`

I heard DBI should work in Perl, but in my AIX DBI CPAN is not installed. Can anyone help me the same equivalent in Perl.

installing DBI on AIX should not very different from other ... If you dont have root access then you could consider installing module locally ..

Also check what all modules in perl are installed...


If you are the only one checking the code .. then in perl program ... just put the same backtick `` ... and same code ... Smilie

Thanks. Let me know how to check the present CPAN Modules in my AIX server. Any specific commands.
