ZIP file and delete
hi experts,

pls can someone help me in writing a shell script to zip the files based on a pattern say ARXT0809_<date> into a zip file ARXT0809_ARCHV.zip and delete the files in the pattern ARXT0809_<date>

i used the below code but not working:

FILE="ARXT0809_${DATETIME}_*"
ZFILE="ARXT0809_ARCHV${DATETIME}"
 
zip -9mj $ZFILE".zip" "$FILE"

By tar and gzip

tar cvf - ARXT0809_${DATETIME}_* |gzip > ARXT0809_ARCHV${DATETIME}.tar.gz

thanks but it doesnt remove the files in the pattern

while test code remove f parameter in `rm -f` ..
