Please provide me with a KSH script.

Hi frnds

Im new to unix. I have an xml like the following:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<serviceFeeDetail>
	<Data>
		<totalAmount>40</totalAmount>
	</Data>
	<serviceFee>
		<invoiceBillGrpNbr>1</invoiceBillGrpNbr>
		<serviceFeeLineItem>
			<billLineNbr>1</billLineNbr>
			<serviceProvider>
				<serviceFeeAmount>20.00	</serviceFeeAmount>
				<serviceFeeAdjustmentInd>Y</serviceFeeAdjustmentInd>

			</serviceProvider>
		</serviceFeeLineItem>
	</serviceFee>
</serviceFeeDetail>

what i need to do is to get the value of <serviceFeeAmount> and store it in an array. There will be repeated numbers of <serviceFeeAmount> in a single file. And also i need to calculate the count of <serviceFee> and <serviceFeeLineItem> tags. Please help me with this. Thanks for ur help!!!

What have you tried so far, what platform are you on, what kind of UNIX are you using?

By the way, this is a support forum. We're not here to do your work for you for free. Show us what you've got so far and where you're stuck, and we'll be happy to help you.

At your service: get yourself a copy of Barry Rosenbergs book and read it. Report back if anything stays unclear after finishing the read.

I'd like to emphasize that Pludi is absolutely correct.
