Unix Mget command issue

Hi,

I am facing an issue with mget command, below are the details

The following commands are in a batch file "abc.ctl"

Code:

cd /mypath/mydirectory/
mget 'MYFILE_*.touch'
bye

I use this file as a parameter for an sftp command

Code:

sftp -b abc.ctl -oIdentityFile=$myserver -oPort=$myport >> mylog.log

If the batch file is unable to find the file, the sftp usually fails with the error --> File /mypath/mydirectory/'MYFILE_*.touch'" not found.
However it failed with the error --> File /mypath/mydirectory/'MYFILE_\\*.touch'" not found, when the file was present at the said path.

Can anyone know why this error has occurred?
