Input : sha256sum FILE

Output HASH_FILE

I have used
sed -e "s|\||g" filename > newfile
I have done several permutations on this to no avail such as:
sed -e "s|`\`||g" filename > newfile
sed -e "s|""\""||g" filename > newfile
