Perl script to connect to database using JDBC driver?
How to connect to SQL Server database from perl script using JDBC driver?

i have sqljdbc.jar file. by setting the class path how can i connect to the database using perl script?

Not at all. JDBC stands for Java Database Connectivity, so it's only usable using Java. For Perl there's DBI as the general interface, and various DBD::* drivers. Note that only free databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ...) are available through CPAN. For Oracle, for example, you'll need at least the Instant Client libraries available. MSSQL can only be accessed through UnixODBC and DBD::ODBC.

can we have only connecting the database using java and execute the statements in perl and close the connection in Java?
