bath processeing script
am currently working on a batch processing script and i am stuck

I am not very familiar with the korn shell I need to do the following:

Process an input file with the following

information:

SOURCE FILE

533650_MSCIEUROPE_AvgWeight_YTD_EXP.XLS/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/YTD/

533650_MSCIEUROPE_AvgWeight_MTD_EXP.XLS/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/

530756_CLIENTSX50POFDB_AvgWeight_YTD_EXP.XLS/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/YT

D/

and get it to give output from the first '/' slash after .XLS and produce the following output file

OUTPUT FILE

going right to like like the following:

/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/YTD/

/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/

/Daily/test/Ceurope/EuropeFactset/YT

D/

I need a shell script to be able to do this any quick ideas?
