Hi guys,
I am executing a pretty long ksh script and need to time stamp every command which runs inside.
Unfortunatly 'echo date' is not the option here.
May be someone knows another way or utility which can be used to log executed command and timestamp next to it.

How do I store the time stamps of each command executed for C shell users?
However, I am able to set this for Bash users with this command:
export HISTTIMEFORMAT="%F %T "
This is how a typical .cshrc look like for a Cshell user:

I want to rename all the files (more than 100 files) in a fodler to another folder with date&time stamp.
foe eg,
file1.dat
file2.dat
file3.dat
..
to be renamed as
file1100629_16_30_15.txt (yy-mon-dd_hh_mi_ss)
file1100629_16_30_16.txt
..
