Date and time difference

Hi,

Below is the backup file name (includes date & time) :
Code:
exp_trx_tables_18_Oct_2010_10_59_00.dmp

Extracted date and time from the file name as below using the below "awk"command:
Code:
date 18-Oct-2010 and time 10:59:00

echo "$fname" | awk -F"_" '{printf "Records will be restored as on date " $4"-"$5"-"$6 " and time " $7":"$8":" substr($9,1,(length($9)-4))}'

and the system date retrieved by the script is "Wed Oct 20 16:10:49 IST 2010"

How to find out the difference between the date_time included in the file name and system date.

How it can be done ?

With Regards

Mod Comment You already got 2 warnings to use code tags and I bet you got PMs with explanations how to use them.
