Hi

Code:

ls -l a.txt
-rw-r--r--   1 atheerbi atheerbi  134180 Oct 13 16:29 a.txt

in the 6th,7th and 8th column i have following things

Try this,
Code:
ls -l --time-style=full-iso a.txt

OR
Code:
ls -l --time-style=long-iso a.txt

I don't know Solaris ls, but on Gnu ls you have the option
Code:
--time-style=

which you can set up like you specify the date command.

Example:
Code:
ls -l --time-style=+%Y.%m.%d" "%H:%M:%S
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2010.10.14 10:18:08 a.txt

Check the man page of your ls command maybe or try to get Gnu ls.

thanks all

when in solaris i give the following command

Code:
ls -l --time-style=full-iso eG_20100805_0000504_110208
ls: illegal option -- time-style=full-iso
usage: ls -1RaAdCxmnlhogrtuvVcpFbqisfHLeE@ [files]

but i found its solution in solaris with following command

Code:

ls -e file

If perl is ok:
Code:
#  cat stat.pl
#!/usr/bin/env perl

use File::stat;

$file=shift;
$stats = stat($file);
($sec, $min, $hr, $day, $month, $year, $day_Of_Week, $julianDate, $dst) = localtime($stats->mtime);
$year+=1900;

printf("%04d-%02d-%02d %02d:%02d:%02d\n",$year,$month,$day,$hr,$min,$sec);

Usage:
Code:
stat.pl file
