Extract attachment from mail and place it in a directory

Hi,

I have a requiremnent that i have to read a mail from a mail box and extract the attachment from that mail and place it in a directory.

First of all is it possible in unix ? if so could you please help me out how it can be done

For extracting the attachment I used munpack.

I have gone thorugh the link but that is related to AIX systems.

I am using SunOs unix. Any help is strongly appriciated.

fetchmail, procmail and munpack is open source software. I used them on a Linux box. Let yourself not be irritated by AIX - those links were just for the guy since he was using AIX Smilie
If they are not ready available for Solaris, you might want to compile them or check for alternatives. But I guess they are available.
