Problem in awk command
Hello,

I am getting problem in awk command during matching (using if in awk) when there is special character "[" or "]"
I have tried by loosing the special meaning, still its not working

Below is my code:

set pinname_watch = "DCORRECT[2]"
set pinname = "DCORRECT\[2\]"
echo 'defineGateSize "C32_AN_THS_8B_TOP" "DCORRECT[2]" 0.03675' > clf

cat clf | sed 's/"//g' | sed -e 's/\[/\\\[/g' -e 's/]/\\]/g' | awk '{if ( $3 == "'$pinname'" ) {print $0}}' 
cat clf | sed 's/"//g'  | awk '{if ( $3 == "'$pinname_watch'" ) {print $0}}'


Please check where i am doing mistake

$ awk '$3 == qw pw qw' qw='"' pw="$pinname_watch" clf
