MySQL Unable to Kill the process

Hi Guys,

I am unable to kill the process . and same process is running so many times. If i am trying to kill once again it restarting/kicked off again.

and now i am unable to login . i am getting error message like "error -cannot fork too many process "
i know when we ll get this message but unfortunately i am unable to kill

If any one know to resolve this issue please post ur reply

try

pkill -9 process_name

It will kill all processes which name is "process_name"

what would be the reason behind this ?
i had executed one process but ps -ef shows more process(400)with same name

Well without knowing what kind of process was started it is imposible to tell what is causing it. As for killing all instances of that process try this:

ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep process_name | tr -s " " | cut -d" " -f2 | xargs kill -9

You may also want to look at the default runlevel init services ...

Incase the same re-occurs with every reboots.

Unable to kill sleeping process
