drwxrwx--- permission

Hi All,

This is my first thread in this forum.I am a new comer to Unix world.

My question is :

I am logged in the server as an user 'arcgh'

how can I create a dir under 'arcgh'/service with permission:drwxrwx---

The name of the dir to be created is 'softmgs'

Please help me.

Thanks
Sithu

Code:
mkdir softmgs
chmod 0770 softmgs

This presumes that your current directory is exchftp/service.
You can display that with the 'pwd' command.
