Thanks Jim. At first I thought of doing something similar to that: write a code to decode (my own algorithm or any available tools) the encrypted password. But then at last the naked password will still be passed to ssh as parameter, hence will be shown through ps output. It looks like fooling ps is the only way to do this.

if you dont pass the password in the arguments to the script, it will not show up in ps.

I mean, the script that reads the password should get it from somewhere else, like a file in the home directory (like .bashrc)
(make sure to chmod root:700)

if your script calls another program and passes the password as argument, of course it will show up in ps.

make sure the program been executed dont receive password as argument.
